18th February 2015: Medieval Indian bhakti (devotional) poetry of conversion and subversion and Tagore’s Gitanjali; continuity of a tradition by Prof Choudhuri

Prof Indra Nath Choudhuri delivered his final lecture as the Indian Council for Cultural Affairs (ICCR) Chair in Tagore Studies at Edinburgh Napier University on 18 February.

The lecture was titled “Medieval Indian bhakti (devotional) poetry of conversion and subversion and Tagore’s Gitanjali: continuity of a tradition.” It was followed by a drinks reception in Edinburgh Napier University’s Glass Room.
